Philosophy of Education
SIM Education Philosophy Statement
In support of our purpose to glorify God, SIM is committed to identify and, where possible, to provide quality care and educational options for our missionaries’ children. SIM recognises the special calling of missionary educators and care personnel whose roles are vital to the mission’s mandate to make disciples of all nations. Our educational programme reflects a biblical and a multi-national perspective that seeks to develop potential for godly living and to facilitate our children’s transition into the educational institutions of their country of citizenship.
Carachipampa Philosophy of Education
God is the source of all truth and all knowledge. Christian education is about the quest for truth and knowledge about God and His world. God reveals the nature of truth in the person of His Son, Jesus Christ and He gives the Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth. Children do not exist nor do they learn in a vacuum. Education is not neutral as students are affected by their environment. They have been created by God to have a relationship with Him and with those in the world around them. Christian education involves seeking truth, striving for excellence in the pursuit of knowledge and growing in wisdom through knowledge of God and His purposes for each individual.
